After finishing my academic career with a PhD in computer science, I decided to join METRO.digital in the mid of 2018 which. Since then I am pushing my colleagues, our products and myself further! After having more than five years of experience as professional full stack developer, I became a Product Manager for the 21+ METRO Cash & Carry websites in the beginning of 2020. Next to that I represent our work and culture on many international conferences in Europa and America. Since the end of 2021 I am responsible for the apprentice program in METRO.digital.
In my spare time I love to stand in front of my barbecue, take a run and spend time with my family.

Senior Product Manager

As a product manager I am responsible for our CRM web platform. It's the home base of our 8000+ sales representatives who need direct information about their customers, profitability, agreement, individual prices and many more.

Dec 2021 - now

Apprentice Instructor

Coaching, knowledge sharing and helping others to grow is very important to me. I've started to supervise and coach students already during my PhD studies. This is why I am an official IHK certified apprentice instructor and responsible for apprenticesship at METRO.digital. Currently I'm supervising 5 apprentices (08/23).

Senior Product Manager

As a product manager I am responsible for product vision and strategy in close collaboration with my product team. We steer the personalized web touchpoints of all METRO e-commerce websites in more than 20 countries.

Full Stack Developer

After I finished my PhD in computer science, I started as a passionate full stack developer at METRONOM, the internal product service company of the METRO AG. In my everyday job I designed and implemented software, talked to stakeholders or business experts. I participated in technical interviews for new colleagues, started giving workshops on agile principles or public speaking.

Research Assistant & Phd Student

During my PhD I was a member of the PhD programme "Online Participation" as well as a board member of the Düsseldorf Institute for Internet and Democracy. My thesis was about "Dialog-Based Online Argumentation" - that's a novel prototype for bringing structured offline discussions into the web. Thats was the start of my career as a full stack developer. I defended my thesis with magna cum laude in January of 2018.

Oct 2012 - Nov 2014

Master of Science Degree in Computer Science

I finished my Masters Degree with an average degree of 1.1 in December of 2014. My focus was on computer networks, network security, mobile communications as well as peer-to-peer networks. This was also a reason way I got the job for the gematik service. In my Masters thesis I implemented and tested an algorithm for the measuring the end-to-end throughput capacity of mobile networks without having any information from the providers as well as without so called self-induced congestions.

Freelancer

I had the possiblity to design and implement a prototype for a gematik specification-compliant access service. Gematik lays the foundation for a secure data network with the telematics infrastructure and the introduction of the electronic health card in Germany.
